During the visit, Chawla inspected the Mid-Day Meal Scheme at various schools, where the kitchens were checked and found to be clean, with proper storage of ration. The Mid-Day Meal (MDM) prepared in the schools was inspected and found to be of good quality. All schools were using gas cylinders for cooking.

She later directed the concerned staff to ensure regular health check-ups of cooks and maintain their personal hygiene. It was also noted that RO water filters were installed in schools for safe drinking water.
