Theatrical tribute to Sri Aurobindo

Sri Aurobindo International School and National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) organised NTAS 15th Yudh Nashian Virudh Natak Mela as a tribute to Sri Aurobindo, freedom fighter, writer, poet and yogi, at the school here. NTAS director Padma Shri Pran Sabharwal stressed the need to promote Sri Aurobindo’s teachings for global peace.

He lauded school principal Neerja Sethi and administrative officer Jatinder Sharma for bringing laurels to Patiala with brilliant results and all-round development of students.

Neerja Sethi and Jatinder Sharma presented a cheque for Rs 21,000 to Sabharwal in recognition of the NTAS’ exemplary 70 years socio–theatre services, rendered by Sunita–Pran Sabharwal and team. The dignitaries and NTAS presented cheques to all artistes, who presented de-addiction plays “Yudh Nashian Virudh”, Ajmer Aulakh’s “Sukki Kukh”, “Availsay Yudhan Di Naika” and four environment awareness short plays. The NTAS felicitated the dignitaries with the Sanskriti Rakshak award.
