Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav said the main goal of the Saras Mela is to provide a platform for artisans and artists from across the country and beyond to display their work. She highlighted that the Tourism Department’s exhibition bus has become a key draw for both local residents and international visitors, offering comprehensive information about Punjab’s top tourist destinations in one place. Dr Yadav also encouraged the people of Patiala to visit the bus while attending the Mela.

Mela Officer and ADC Anuprita Johal highlighted that the exhibition bus, located near the entrance of Sheesh Mahal, instantly grabs the attention of every visitor. She pointed out that while Punjab has many tourist spots, many of them remain unknown to the public. To bridge this gap and raise awareness about the history and significance of these locations, the Tourism Department has brought the mobile exhibition to the Saras Mela, where it will stay until February 23.
