Punjab’s Information and Public Relations Minister Chetan Singh Jouramajra today inaugurated significant development projects in the villages of Rakhra and Langroi, located in the Samana constituency. These initiatives, with a total investment of Rs 1.15 crore, represent a substantial step toward improving the local infrastructure.

The minister also laid the foundation stone for the renovations at the state-of-the-art sports stadium in Rakhra. These works would be carried out at a cost of Rs 60 lakh. “Additional works include the installation of sewage pipelines worth Rs 10 lakh and street improvements, costing Rs 5 lakh. In Langroi, roads will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 40 lakh to enhance connectivity,” he said.

Jouramajra expressed regret over the sports stadium in Rakhra lying unused for the last 15 years, despite the village’s connection to a previous minister. He reassured public the revamped facility would be the best in the district, featuring fields for volleyball, cricket, football and a walking track for residents.
