THE Supreme Court's proposal to task the Central Bureau of Investigation with probing the menace of digital arrests points to the magnitude of the crime, the nature of its execution and the apparent inability to effectively deal with it. In seeking countrywide details of the scams orchestrated by fraudsters posing as judges and police officers, the apex court has also signalled the need for utmost attention in formulating strategies to take on the crime syndicates.
