THE Donald Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration has left many countries red-faced. India is no exception. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that 3,258 Indian nationals had been deported by the US this year so far; the number of deportees was far lower (1,368) last year and just 617 in 2023.
