Baddi woman tested positive for COVID-19 at PGI dies

A 52-year-old woman hailing from Baddi died at PGI on Monday evening after testing positive for COVID-19.
The lady was reportedly suffering from chest pains following which she had visited a private hospital at Baddi on Tuesday evening, where her ECG test confirmed a cardiac problem.
She was later referred to PGI, Chandigarh, where she tested positive for the virus and died there in the evening.
Nalagarh block medical officer Dr KD Jassal said the elementary cause of her death doesn’t seem to be COVID-19 as she was found suffering from a cardiac problem and added that they were inquiring into the case.
Baddi SP Rohit Malpani said the primary contacts of the lady, who resided at Sun City in Baddi, are being identified for isolation.
