18 Jalandhar cops awarded DGP commendation discs

265 personnel honoured with certificate of appreciation

Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma awarded DGP commendation discs to 18 personnel of the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate in recognition of their outstanding commitment to duty, displaying unparalleled zeal and devotion.

Additionally, certificates of appreciation along with a cash reward of Rs 2.25 lakh were presented to 265 officials for their outstanding contribution to public safety, security, and welfare. Among these, 35 certificates were approved by the DGP Punjab.

Of the total certificates, 146 were given for crime detection and arrests of proclaimed offenders, 19 to the staff of the technical unit, social media team, research and data analysis teams, 28 to traffic management and emergence response teams, 48 to officials on VIP duties and 24 to staff raising awareness on Sehyog/Sampark project.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
