State Election Commissioner Raj Kamal Chaudhary said the number of candidates left in the fray for the MC poll in Tarn Taran was 113, followed by Talwara (41) and Dera Baba Nanak (37).

The counting of votes would take place on the same day at the polling station itself, after the completion of voting, he added.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
