Rs 2.79 lakh cr credit potential for Punjab
Chandigarh: NABARD has estimated a credit potential of Rs 2.79 lakh crore for priority sector lending in Punjab, as outlined in the State Focus Paper for 2025-26. Of this, Rs 1.20 lakh crore (43 per cent) is earmarked for the agriculture sector. NABARD’s Chief General Manager Raghunath B highlighted the sectors, including MSMEs, housing and renewable energy, for potential loan advancements.
Robbers flee with car in Muktsar dist
Muktsar: Two armed miscreants forcibly took away a car from a person outside a marriage palace near Gidderbaha on Thursday. DSP Avtar Singh said, “The driver dropped a family there. Thereafter, he was reversing the car when two armed persons cornered him and took away the vehilce.”
