The district police on Friday claimed to have arrested two persons allegedly associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s aide Kali Charan of Mohali. Kali Charan is presently lodged in the Tihar Jail, Delhi.

Those arrested have been identified as Navdeep Singh of Jandwala village and Kamal Kishore of Ferozepur Cantonment. The police claimed the two were involved in two serious crimes in Ferozepur district. An illegal firearm was also seized from their possession.

A police spokesperson said they got a tip-off about the presence of Navdeep, Kishore and their two aides, Sukhdeep Singh of Mallan village and Honey of Malout. “Two of them were arrested along with an illegal .12 bore weapon on Thursday, while efforts are afoot to nab the other two,” he claimed.

A case under Sections 387 of the Indian Penal Code and 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act had been registered against the two accused.
