2 BKI men arrested

Sleuths of the Counter Intelligence (CI) wing of the state police have arrested two terrorists belonging to the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). Two grenades, one pistol (Berretta 9 mm) and live cartridges were seized from them.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said those arrested were identified as Harpreet Singh, alias Preet, of Tarn Taran and Gulshan Singh, alias Nandu, of the Amritsar (Rural) area. “They were working on the instructions of BKI terrorist Harwinder Singh Rinda and planning to disturb peace in the state,” he added.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
