Abohar: The Railway Police have arrested Rajni Soni and his sister Vijeta, residents of Patti Billah village for abetting suicide of a youth. Faridkot: School Education Department has asked all school heads in the state to ensure that there is an option of “transgender” along with the option of male and female in all forms wherein any gender related information is solicited by the schools. It is mandatory after the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment enacted “The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019, reads the letter. TNS
One killed in road mishap
Abohar: In a road accident near Bazidpur village on Friday, the car driver died on the spot while a girl was critically injured. The driver, identified as Saurabh of Ghallu village, reportedly lost control of the vehicle and it hit a roadside tree. According to the information, both were going to Mammukhera village. Shalu has been admitted to the civil hospital in a critical condition.
