Abohar, April 7

The Rajasthan Police have arrested driver Rajdeep Khatri (27) of Bathinda’s Jethuke and his assistant Rajpal Singh (28) of Moga’s Samalsar under Sections 188, 269 and 34 of the IPC for ferrying 18 persons from Jaisalmer to Punjab in violation of the lockdown restrictions. The truck in which they were travelling has been impounded under the Motor Vehicles Act.

The police said the truck was intercepted near Nokha terminal along the Bikaner-Sriganganagar highway on Monday evening. Both staff and passengers would have to undergo quarantine period for 14 days.
