Depressed over lower earnings, two youths died by suicide in separate incidents.
In first incident, Amarjit Singh of Jeendhra, allegedly consumed pesticide to end his life. He used to work as a motorcycle mechanic. Rashpal Singh, father of the victim, said his son was under depression for the past couple of months and consumed pesticide.
In another incident, Ravi Dass of Safuwala, who was under debt, reportedly consumed pesticide. Preliminary probe suggested that Ravi had taken a car loan and was using the vehicle as a cab. As he used to get limited rides, he could not repay the loan.
