The Punjab Police on Thursday said they had arrested two operatives linked to international terror network after an encounter.

In a statement, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said following a tip off the police team arrested Robinjeet Singh and Harpreet Singh alias Happy, who were allegedly associated with USA-based Gurdev Singh alias Jaisal Chambhal and Canada-based terrorists Lakhbir alias Landa and Satnam Singh alias Satta Naushehra.

During the operation, the accused attempted to flee and attacked the police team, prompting officers to act in self-defence, the DGP said in a post on X.
