Terming robotics as a game-changer in his live interaction with the doctors, Kataria said a lot of medical advancement had been made and a continued progress was required in the field. He asked the doctors to ensure that the fresh passouts were trained to usher in medical revolution. The Governor praised the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in ensuring that there were more students passing out every year to bring in that change. The Governor appreciated the role of The Tribune Group in choosing to hold an awards ceremony for the doctors and recognising their contribution to society.
Gurbachan Jagat, a former Manipur Governor, said health and education were the two strongest pillars of a vibrant society. “A society which does not spend on health and education is bound to fall. We are under-performing on this. Much more needs to be done for research and development in the field of health. We need to encourage our students and interns to come forward.
