220-kg poppy husk, 525-gm heroin seized

An anti-narcotics cell team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Manjit Singh seized 220 kg of poppy husk from a canter that entered Abohar from Sadulshahar through the Defence Road T-point. The police said the consignment had been filled in 11 bags, 20 kg each. They said a case under Sections 15, 16, and 85 was registered under the NDPS Act.
A team led by Khuian Sarwar police station incharge Raman Kumar arrested Dimple Kumar, Sukhbir Singh, Gurbalraj Singh alias Fauji, and Arshdeep alias Arsh Singh, residents of Panjawa Mandal village located near the Punjab-Rajasthan border, with 525 g of heroin. A case was registered under the NDPS Act.
