24 Executive Officers transferred across Punjab; Kharar EO transferred for 9th time in 2 years

The Local Government Department has shuffled 24 Executive Officers of Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayats with immediate effect.

Notable among them is Kharar Municipal Council where the Executive Officer has been shifted for the ninth time under the AAP government in past two years since February 27, 2023.

Kharar EO Gurbakshish Singh has been transferred to Khanna while Sukhdev Singh, Executive Officer, Payal, will take charge here.

Gurbakshish Singh joined Kharar MC three months ago on May 15. His predecessor, Ravi Jindal, lasted under five months.

Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Mann, former cabinet minister in the AAP government, also recently announced her resignation from the assembly, but retracted her decision later.
