278 flying squads to curb cheating in exams

With an aim to curbing cheating in board exams for Classes VIII, X and XII, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has constituted 278 flying squads of three members each. Over 8.82 lakh students will take these PSEB exams.

Minister of School Education Harjot Singh Bains said the flying squads would be led by District Education Officers (DEOs), principals, members of the education board and the board’s academic councils.

These teams would carry out surprise inspections at examination centres to prevent cheating, he added.
