3 gangsters held after encounter in Tarn Taran

The Tarn Taran police have arrested three associates of gangster-turned-terrorist Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa Harike, after a brief exchange of fire, and seized 500 gm heroin and .30 bore China-made pistol.

One of them, identified as Ajay Mota, was injured in the retaliatory fire by the police while the other two, identified as Raunak and Deepak, were nabbed following a chase.

Tarn Taran SSP Abhimanyu Rana said, “Ajay, a close associate of Landa Harike, sustained injuries in the retaliatory fire.” He was admitted to a hospital for treatment. The police have registered a case in connection with the incident.

During the search, the police seized 500 gm heroin apart from a .30 bore China-made pistol from the scene. The pistol was smuggled from Pakistan via drone.
