Didn’t expect top position

I was expecting a second or third position. Luck favoured me as I was declared the topper among three students who secured the same marks. — Arshdeep Kaur

The topper, Arshdeep Kaur, said: “Luck favoured me that I was declared the topper among three students who secured the same marks. God was by my side.”

Arshdeep aspires to become an IAS officer. “I was expecting a second or third position, but my joy knew no bound when I secured the first position. In term one exams, I was two marks short of 100 per cent,” she said.

Arshdeep’s father runs a scooter repair shop and mother is a homemaker. She thanked her parents, teachers and the Almighty for her success.

Mansa’s Arshpreet Kaur is a student of Government Secondary Smart School, Bachhoana. Kulwinder of Jaito in Faridkot district is a national-level taekwondo player. She is a student of Saraswati Senior Secondary School, Jaito.
