Investigations revealed that Sanjeev Kumar Garg, son of a local businessman, owned the factory, Ekam Feed.

The 10-feet deep tank contained a mix of various animal feed that had turned into molasses and had begun to emit a poisonous gas, sources said.  Sources said that the labourers were asked to clean the tank without letting out the gas first.

Police sources said investigations were still ongoing.
