Punjab is aiming to increase the renewable energy share to 30 per cent. As per the Punjab Vision Document-2030 prepared by the Punjab Energy Development Agency, the state’s renewable energy share currently stands at only 12.5 per cent of the total energy needs. The state has committed to increase it to 30 per cent by 2030.
With an objective to discuss the State Energy Action Plan being developed under Indo-German Energy Access-II programme, a consultation workshop was organised at the PEDA office here.
On the occasion, PEDA director MP Singh emphasised on continuous efforts utilise clean and low-carbon energy.
