About 1,521 natives of Bihar, who were stranded in Bathinda, made their homeward journey via third special Shramik Express train on Thursday.
People expressed their gratitude towards the district administration and the state government for facilitating their return in a hassle-free manner. However, the police had a hard time in ensuring that the social distancing norms were followed.
The passengers are expected to reach at Bapudham Motihari railway station in Bihar at around 9:30 am on Friday.
The district administration officials have assured the remaining stranded migrants of making arrangements for their return.
Earlier, two special Shramik Express trains had ferried hundreds of migrant workers, who had reached their destination on May 10.
