4 from Punjab killed in head-on collision between pickup and Haryana Roadways bus near Pehowa

Four people were killed as a Haryana Roadways bus from the Hisar depot collided head-on with a Punjab-registered pickup vehicle near the Reliance petrol pump on the Pehowa road here on Monday.

The mishap occurred near the Kyoudek village around 8 am.

The collision was so severe that four of the seven occupants of the pickup died on the spot. The remaining three sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.

All victims were reportedly travelling from Punjab to visit the Pehowa gurdwara to attend a religious congregation (satsang).

Police cleared the damaged vehicles from the road and restored traffic.

The bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem.
