The police booked a gunhouse owner and four others for allegedly selling firearms in an illegal manner in Mamdot.

The accused have been identified as gunhouse owner Rohit Kumar, alias Gora, of Khunder Uthar village; Maan Singh; Amandeep Singh; Gagandeep Singh, alias Gagna; and Kapil.

The police said the arrests were made following the inputs that the accused were involved in the illegal sale of firearms to the people with criminal background belonging to other states.

All accused have been booked under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the IPC and 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act at Mamdot police station. Sources said the gunhouse had also been sealed. — OC
