More than 50 Amrit Bharat trains would be rolled out to facilitate the common man, which would have non-AC sleepers, said MoS Ravneet Bittu at the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala today.

He said the RCF would make five Amrit Bharat rakes with 22 coaches this year.

He said “Vande Bharat” and “Vande Metro” train sets were also being manufactured at the RCF. The first “Vande Metro” rake with 16 coaches would be flagged off shortly.

The MoS added that two rakes of “Vande Bharat” would also be manufactured this year. Bittu pointed out that 30 narrow-gauge coaches having “Vistadome” would be rolled out for the Kalka-Shimla route soon.
