A 60m tall Tricolour was installed at Sadiqi border outpost in the Fazilka sector on the Independence Day.

Border Security Force (BSF) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Vijay Kumar and Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna hoisted the flag on August 15 in the presence of residents who thronged the outpost to witness the retreat ceremony.

According to an estimate, nearly 15,000 people visited the outpost to witness the occasion. The foundation stone for the project was laid in January this year. A "Tiranga Yatra" was also taken out in Fazilka town.
