7-year-old boy honoured for completing 1,200-km Abohar-Ayodhya run

Seven-year-old Mohabbat has been felicitated for his incredible achievement of completing a 1,200-km run from Abohar to Ayodhya. Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu and Superintendent of Police Pardeep Singh Sandhu visited Mohabbat’s village, Killianwali, to honour him for his remarkable feat.

Mohabbat’s journey began on November 14, and he completed it in 56 days. He was also felicitated by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath upon reaching his destination.

Earlier in the day, Mohabbat participated in an 8-km rally from Balaji Dham Abohar to Killianwali, aiming to raise awareness about drugs and the environment.

The village panchayat organised a reception for Mohabbat, where the DC praised him for bringing glory to Fazilka district at the national level. She expressed hope that Mohabbat’s achievement would inspire others to work towards creating a drug-free society.

SP Pardeep Singh Sandhu also commended Mohabbat, stating that he has emerged as a role model for society. Sandhu emphasised the importance of guiding Mohabbat’s energy in the right direction, starting from the school level.

Sarpanch Desa Singh awarded Mohabbat Rs 5,000 on behalf of the panchayat, in recognition of his outstanding achievement.

Block Development and Panchayat Officer Gagandeep Kaur and Water Supply and Sanitation Department’s SDO Ratanjot Singh were also present. OC
