95-year-old man united with family

The All India Pingalwara Society here reunited a 95-year-old man with his family in New Delhi. The nonagenarian, Kulbir Chand Mehta, was a Section Officer in the MEA.

Prima facie, due to memory loss, Kulbir reached Amritsar unknowingly, and was loitering around when some youths noticed him on January 22 and took him to Pingalwara.

Pingalwara head Inderjit Kaur said: “We uploaded his video on social media. However, he was able to recollect and said he hailed from Dwarka in Delhi.”

Subsequently, the society management sent one of its staffers to Delhi. It was gathered that his son NC Mehta was a pilot with a private aircraft company in New Delhi.

“At present, his son was abroad. On being told, his son sent one of his friends to escort his father back home,” she said. — TNS
