AAP, BJP colluded to suppress farmers: Pandher
Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) convener Sarwan Singh Pandher accused the BJP-led Centre of Punjab’s AAP government of working together to “suppress” the farmers protest after being released from a Muktsar jail.
Pandher was detained during a police crackdown on March 19. Pandher likened the Centre to medieval ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali and the Punjab government to Zakaria Khan, known for persecuting Sikhs.
“We have to deal with Zakaria Khan first,” he said, adding that he would not be surprised if the BJP and AAP form an alliance for the 2027 Assembly elections.
He accused the AAP government of going soft on the BJP to shield its Delhi leadership facing corruption allegations.
Emphasising the need for unity among various farmer forums, he reaffirmed that planned protests outside residences of AAP MLAs and ministers on March 31, would proceed as scheduled.
