Chandigarh, April 9

Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa today took a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party government for its failure to deliver what it guaranteed to voters during the 2022 Assembly poll.

He said AAP would suffer a debacle in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha bypoll. Bajwa said the byelection would be the beginning of end of AAP’s deceitful politics. A sudden downfall in AAP’s popularity graph can be gauged from the fact that it could not find a single volunteer within the party to contest the bypoll.

“Before the 2022 Assembly election, AAP promised on various platforms that their candidates would be from common families and from non-political backgrounds. Look what they are up to now. They have been luring workers and politicians from the opposition parties,” said Bajwa.

“Similar is the situation with the BJP. The saffron outfit has failed to find a suitable candidate from within the party to contest bypoll. They have sped up their poaching activities in Punjab. SAD leader and former MLA Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal joined the BJP. Earlier, former Jalandhar DCP Rajinder Singh also joined the saffron outfit,” he said.
