AAP govt bypassing rules to woo voters in Gidderbaha: Warring

With AAP ministers and leaders laying foundation stones for various development projects in the Gidderbaha Assembly constituency, PCC chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, who remained MLA from here three times in a row, today claimed that the state government was bypassing the rules and the Congress councillors would file a petition in the high court in that regard on Monday.

Talking to The Tribune over the phone, Warring said, “The state government is laying the pipeline for drinking water and sewerage in Gidderbaha town, but the resolution in that regard was not passed by the municipal committee. The MC president is a Congress man. The Congress councillors will now file a petition in the HC that the state government is bypassing the rules to woo voters ahead of the bypoll.”

Taking a dig at AAP, Warring said ministers Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and Dr Baljit Kaur belonged to Muktsar district, but they were ignored and the state government deputed minister Aman Arora (MLA from Sunam), MLA Dharamkot Devinderjeet Singh Laddi Dhos and MLA Muktsar Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar in this constituency, who are laying the foundation stones.

“I ask the AAP government what is the interest of these MLAs of other constituencies in Gidderbaha,” Warring said.

The PCC chief further questioned the state government for laying the foundation stones for the repair of some link roads. “The roads built using the rural development fund can be repaired after six years. The AAP government is doing nothing new, but the cabinet minister is laying foundation stones and wasting time of the district administration,” he added.
