Amid growing public outrage over prolonged delays in the delivery of public services, allegedly exploited for graft, the AAP government has vowed to ensure timely service delivery.

In a letter sent to all public service departments, Chief Secretary KAP Sinha has called for a list of all pending applications for various public services. He emphasised that keeping these applications unresolved for extended periods could be seen as a means to facilitate graft. “This will not be tolerated,” he said.

The Chief Secretary has set a firm deadline for all departments to submit the information on pending cases to his office by 11 am on March 26.

“In case of not doing so, it will be considered that the concerned officer and secretary are promoting corruption in their department,” he stated.
