AAP leader firing case: Gangster Rana sent back to Gurugram jail
Kala Rana was also wanted in multiple murder and extortion cases
After completion of police remand of two days, alleged gangster Virender Pratap Singh, alias Kala Rana who was brought to Phagwara from Gurugram’s Bhondsi Jail on a production warrant on Tuesday, was again produced before Judicial Magistrate today who sent him in judicial jail.
As he was brought from Gurugram on production warrant, he was sent back to Bhondsi jail. He was allegedly involved in firing on AAP leader Daljit Raju’s house on the night of November 27 in village Darvesh near Phagwara.
Rana, who was wanted in multiple murder and extortion cases, and was named by Phagwara Police in the case after his suspected role emerged during the investigation.
Meanwhile, the three already arrested accused — Ghanshyam Tiwari, his mother Neeraj Kumari and brother Deepak Tiwari — were also produced before judicial court in Phagwara today. They, too, were sent to judicial jail in 14 days judicial remand. Cops stated that the trio allegedly sheltered and financed the shooters involved in the late night firing at Raju’s residence on November 27. Phagwara SP Madhvi Sharma said the police are investigating the case from various angles.
