Realising the need for collective sharing of power, the party has decided to start a programme called “Aapka MLA, Aapke Dwar”, wherein they will listen public grievances in their constituencies and act as a bridge between the electorate and the administration. With elections to the 13,241 panchayats, five municipal corporations, panchayat samitis and zila parishads, besides the four Assembly bypoll at Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal, Barnala and Gidderbaha round the corner, the MLAs were asked to start spending maximum time in villages in their constituencies, resolving issues of the electorate.

Barring 11 MLAs, who could not make it to the meeting because of prior commitments, all other MLAs were present at today’s meeting. All ministers and three MP were also present there, along with the Chief Minister, AAP’s national general secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak and working president of the party Budh Ram.

The leaders assured the MLAs that all officers in the state would accord due respect to the MLAs and get their public-oriented works done on priority.

CM Bhagwant Mann is learnt to have also told the MLAs that they should directly approach him for any public work or any problem they faced in discharging their duties. He assured them that the work would be done as per their wishes.
