The Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) has taken a strong note of schools aided by the RSS “forcing” students to endorse the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA).

Several institutions going by the name of Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir are reportedly taking the signatures of school students in support of the controversial Act.

PYC president Barinder Dhillon alleged that the RSS would not be allowed to pollute innocent minds. He demanded action against the school authorities for indulging in such activities.

He said that the PYC would take up the matter with the Chief Minister and the Education Minister, seeking to cancel affiliation of the schools for implementing the RSS agenda. He said it was a serious matter and the Youth Congress would take it to its logical end.

Dhillon said the authorities of Sarvhitkari school in Dhanaula in Sangrur district had taken the signatures of students on banners “We support CAA” on January 15, without the consent of their parents.
