The Jalandhar rural police has arrested the father of an actress, Himanshi Khurana, for allegedly assaulting and threatening a public servant on duty. The accused has been identified as Kuldeep Khurana, a resident of Ludhiana.

Speaking to the mediapersons, SSP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh, PPS, said that this arrest was made under a special operation to curb crime against public servants.
The investigation revealed that on May 22, the accused allegedly entered an altercation with Jagpal Singh, naib tehsildar, Goraya, in his chamber and issued death threats.
