Ahead of Panchayat election, Punjab Govt transfers 11 IAS, 38 PCS officers
As many as 49 officers, including 11 IAS officers were issued their transfer orders on Wednesday, just hours before the model code of conduct for the Panchayat elections is to come into force.
While Tarn Taran will get a new Deputy Commissioner in Gurpreet Singh Aulakh, V N Zade, who had just been repatriated to Punjab, has been posted as Secretary Expenditure.
This is the third time in the past fortnight that mass scale transfer of officers had been done, in what appears to be an overhaul of the civil administration in the state.
Gauri Prashar Joshi, who was awaiting posting orders, has been given the charge of Special Secretary Personnel and in addition Managing Director of PSIDC.
Amongst others who have been transferred are Sanyam Aggarwal, who has been posted as Director Higher Education and Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bathinda. Jalandhar Development Authority also got a new Chief Administrator in Ankurjit Singh.
PCS Officer Rahul Chaba is the new Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar.
