Mann said he had visited the shrine in advance avoid any inconvenience to other visitors. Interestingly, Sudhar Lehar leader Bibi Jagir Kaur was also present at the gurdwara sahib. Besides, Sudhar Lehar leader Karnail Singh Panjoli interacted with the CM and submitted a charter of demands to him. However, the latter refused to take up any political queries and said that he had come to pay obeisance to great martyrs Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, who had attained martyrdom along with their grandmother, Mata Gujri.

He said the supreme sacrifice made by the younger Sahibzadas at such a tender age hardly found any parallel in world history. He said they were a source of inspiration not only for the Sikh community but also for the entire humanity to fight against injustice, tyranny and oppression. He said the younger generations should be made aware of the significant sacrifice to inspire them to make selfless sacrifices for the nation.

He said he was blessed to get the opportunity to serve the state and its people, adding that no stone would be left unturned to serve every section of society.

He also recalled that during his stint as a Lok Sabha member, the House had paid tributes to younger Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh on their martyrdom day.
