Qadian, December 24
The Ahmadiyya community, which has been declared as non-Muslim by Pakistan, has put off its annual convention (Salana Jalsa) indefinitely keeping in view the nationwide protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
The congregation was to be held here from December 27 to 30.
“The decision has been taken keeping in view the security of the members of the community. A majority of the guests were supposed to arrive via Uttar Pradesh which is one of the most-affected states,” said a spokesman.
He said fresh dates would be decided after a month.
