Akal Takht has given clean chit to Sufi singer Satinder Sartaaj, who was accused of making mistakes while reciting Zafarnamah in the Persian dialect.
A few weeks after the Persian version of “Zafarnamah – Guru Gobind Singh Ji” was released, a Delhi resident submitted a complaint to Akal Takht accusing the singer mispronouncing some words.
Subsequently, Akal Takht officiating Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh deputed Gurpreet Singh Udhoke, a researcher, to look into the matter. Udhoke was found that Sartaaj had made any mistake while reciting the Zafarnamah, barring an ignorable mistake of misspelling a word in the subtitles.
The singer shared a video of Giani Harpreet Singh on social media, in which the latter could be heard saying that the accusation of wrong pronunciation was baseless.
