To boost the ease of doing business for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the Cabinet has approved a list of no-objection certificates (NOCs) required for setting up industries in the state. The list is based on recommendations of the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) — an organisation engaged by the government to make the state a progressive industrial hub.

A spokesperson said a two-year memorandum of understanding was signed between the state Department of Industries & Commerce and GAME in November 2020 to initiate new reforms.

One of the areas identified by GAME was streamlining NOCs required by an investor from various departments during the pre-operationalisation and post-operationalisation stages. — TNS
