Notably, this was Amrita’s first visit to the segment after the polling day on November 20. She had not even gone to the counting centre on the counting day on November 23.

BJP candidate and former finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal has also become active in the constituency. He recently visited Assa Buttar village to inaugurate a cricket tournament. Manpreet has announced that despite losing the election, he would fulfil all promises made by him.

AAP candidate Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon had polled 71,644 votes, Amrita 49,675 votes and Manpreet managed to bag 12,227 votes. Dimpy has gone to Chandigarh to take oath on Monday.
