After a gap of 11 years, the state government has increased the annual grant-in-aid to the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) here from Rs 35 crore to Rs 46 crore.

For the last more than a decade, the government did not increase annual grant-in-aid to the only medical university in the state. Dr Raj Bahadur, Vice Chancellor, BFUHS, thanked the government for increasing annual grant-in-aid. The university employees’ union also welcomed the government’s decision.
