A day after two youths were found dead apparently due to drug overdose, another resident has reportedly died due to similar cause in the district, the police confirmed today.
Would often go missing
- Villagers say Satnam would often go missing for days. Last week, he left his house without informing his family, which then launched a hunt to trace him. His body was recovered from Sandhwan village.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Satnam Singh, a resident of Manuke village in Nihalsinghwala subdivision. He was missing for the past one week. His body was recovered from the banks of a drain on the outskirts of Sandhwan village in Faridkot today.
Villagers claimed that Satnam was an addict. He would often go missing for days. Last week, he left his house without informing his family members, who then launched a hunt to trace him. Today, his body was recovered from Sandhwan village. No external injury mark was found on the body. He could have died of drug overdose, they said.
Kotkapura (rural) police station SHO Parwinder Singh said they had sent the body for a post-mortem examination at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot. The report of his viscera samples would reveal the exact cause of the death.
