Anti-Gangster Task Force Punjab, Moga Police arrest gangster after gunfight

Malkit Singh is key operative of the foreign-based gangster Gaurav and the Davinder Bambiha Gang

The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in a joint operation with the Moga Police, on Wednesday arrested Malkit Singh alias Manu, a key operative of the foreign-based gangster Gaurav alias Lucky Patyal and the Davinder Bambiha Gang.

The operation took place near Dosanjh Road, Moga, where the police raided a rented house following intelligence inputs. When cornered, Malkit opened fire on the police. In retaliation, the police fired back, injuring the accused in his left knee. The accused has been shifted to the Moga Civil Hospital for treatment.

Malkit is a resident of Dosanjh Talwandi, Moga, and was wanted in multiple criminal cases.

He was also linked to two major criminal incidents. Firstly, murder at village Kapura, Moga, on February 19, 2025. Secondly, firing incident at Raja Dhabha, Jagraon, on February 26, 2025.

Additionally, Malkit has a history of involvement in Arms Act violations and snatching cases. He is also associated with a gangster currently lodged in Moga Jail and facing six criminal cases. Malkit was wanted in two cases.
