A fast food vendor was injured in a daylight attack by armed miscreants outside Patel Park in Abohar. The incident occurred when a group of youths, after an earlier argument, returned with sharp weapons and assaulted the vendor, identified as Sagar, striking him multiple times on the head.
According to Rinku, the brother of the injured vendor, Sagar and their father Patel had been operating their fast food stall near the park when the youths first had an altercation with his brother. Later, they returned with sharp-edged weapons and attacked Sagar. When bystanders attempted to intervene, the attackers abandoned their motorcycles and fled on foot. The bikes were recovered by the police, who arrived at the scene shortly after being notified by Rinku.
The injured vendor, Sagar, was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment. The incident has sparked anger among local residents, who are concerned about the rising criminal activity in the area. They pointed out that just last week, a sweets and confectionery vendor, Ved Pal Sethi, was targeted by miscreants near the park in a failed robbery attempt. Additionally, an Aam Aadmi Clinic near the park was burgled three months ago, but no suspects were arrested in connection with either incident.
