Arrangements in place for Guru’s martyrdom day

Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday said comprehensive arrangements had been made to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur in November.

A team comprising ministers Harjot Bains, Harbhajan Singh ETO and Tarunpreet Singh Sond will start a thorough inspection of four major nagar kirtans routes.

“We will review all arrangements, including development projects roadworks and logistical arrangements. We will also engage with the Deputy Commissioners and MLAs to ensure a smooth and successful coordination for this historic occasion,” Bains told the media.

Bains said the Punjab Government would observe the martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur at grand level, honouring his supreme sacrifice as the “Hind Di Chadar”.
